marty922 Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 G'day all from hot and sunny Ballarat (if only! ) . I'm just starting out with CC's. Bought my first box the other day (Monte Grand Edmundo LE's) and am about to fire up a winador in the next week in preparation of some more purchases. Still going through a HQ robusto sampler to work out my likes - although I reckon HDM Epi 2's are in my near future. Just finished one of the Monte's and it was 5.5 deg C outside - definitely buying a heater for the shed if I want to get through winter. Anyway, I'll be lurking around quite a bit I reckon, tonnes of great info here. Cheers, Marty
khamy Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 welcome aboard mate. Exciting times for you ahead me thinks

Tan1801 Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Welcome Marty. There is heaps of information here coming from great people. Ballarat can be a bit of a hike to the city, but if your keen there will be a few of us meeting up for a cigar or two in the city this Sat night from 6:30pm at RA lounge. It's a monthly thing so if you can't make this one, the doors always open for the next . Feel free to contact me with any questions.
NJP Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 G'day Marty and welcome mate from an old Ballarat boy. We have a couple of old and current members from the runny snot capital. Cheers Nic.
mazolaman Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Welcome along Marty, and try a long and skinny, just for variety....

marty922 Posted May 4, 2012 Author Posted May 4, 2012 Thanks for the welcome everyone. I like the "runny snot capital" quote I might get to a Melbourne meet one day - when I've got more of an idea about CC's. As for long and skinny's, what's a recommendation for a newbie? I've not really looked into them at all. Btw, I'm still putting up with the rain and the pushy - it helps me justify this new hobby a bit easier

At the Melbourne meets you don't have to know a lot about cigars, we just smoke what we brought and enjoy crapping on about whatever... or that's just me
