Five boxes in one weekend? Okay!

It's been a good weekend for adding cigars to the humidor:

In the set:

Cohiba Siglo VI (ABR JUN 11)

H. Upmann #2 (PLM MAY 11)

ERDM CS (BRU AGO 10)

Partagas Shorts (TAU OCT 11)

VR Unicos (SUB MAY 11)

And some of these sticks are just plain amazing in appearance. The Cohibas and H. Upmanns were pretty much normal - the Siglo VI were like most of the others I've gotten, though the previously acquired PSP sticks were noticeably nicer, as would be expected, and the H. Upmanns were on the darker side (as requested). But the VRs, in particular were really nice and dark. The Party Shorts and ERDM CS were nice, too. Here are some more detailed photos:

Today I've smoked one each of the Party Shorts (an awesome smoke for your morning coffee - thanks to those who suggested them!), the ERDM CS (will also make a great morning smoke!) and the VR Unico. Last night I smoked one of the Upmann #2s. There Partagas Short and ERDM CS were the best of the bunch right out of the box. The VR was pretty great, too, though it's obvious it will be oodles better with some age on it. The H. Upmann #2 was okay - not bad or anything, but will need some time to relax in the humi. I've not had one of the Siglo VI yet since I still have a number of those aged in the humi.

It's been like Christmas in April.

All of my NCs are in their boxes. As for the CCs, I've got the Party Shorts, two 10ers of PSP Siglo VI, and an a 12er of Trini Robusto Extra in their boxes. I've also got partial boxes of Upmann Mag 50s, RyJ Churchills, and HDM DCs still in their boxes... but I think they're toast since I accidentally over-humidified them when I first got the Aristocrat... I'm hoping that they'll be okay in a couple of years, but I don't know. I smoked one of the Mag 50s a couple of weeks ago and it seemed to now be properly humidified, but it had a rather bitter aftertaste that made me think they're no good anymore. But I've still got plenty of space in the cabinet, so I'll keep 'em until I need to worry about making more room. I've got 8 boxes from the Czar yet to ship, so it might be something I have to deal with sooner, rather than later. But, really, that's not a bad problem to have.

I've got 99 problems but the stogies ain't one. Woot!

I just picked up a box of the ERD CS (Same box date), I was very impressed with the cigar. Great bang for the buck.
