Was browsing through the local LCBO the other day and came accross a bottle of Champagne, the name of which struck a familiar cord.

Had to read up on it and the experts say that it's not too shabby ;)

Not unlike Rob, an Australian with Spanish roots, Ayala is the only French champagne house with Latin roots.

AYALA was established in 1860 in Äy, France by Edmond de AYALA, the son of a Colombian diplomat in Paris, who married the niece of a noble Viscount and received the Chateau of Äy as his dowry, along with prime vineyards located in Aÿ and Mareuil sur Aÿ.

El Presidente should solicit his namesake for a few bottles to pair with a cigar for an FOH review. How could they turn him down, being family and all? :D

Rob actually has a few bottles of that sitting around the office. He also had some champagne flutes with the name on them.
