Thought I'd share some thoughts on my cigars from this last month. Some are more just passing thoughts and remarks, others as more detailed notes. Dates when i remembered... Hope you enjoy!

Monte no 5 - yes please. Great mini pre-dinner smoke. Youth shows through at points... 3/2/12

Cohiba Siglo I - very young, fresh and very sour. Not really fair to judge now, but there was toasty flavors and leather. With coffee, 3/3/12

Bolivar PC - nice, deep earthy and some spice notes. Some bitter sour flavors for a few minutes halfway through. Very spicy at the end. Burn issues, smoke drier next time. With coffee. 3/3/12

H. Upmann corona junior tubos - fail, dog rocket, tossed. 3/4/12

San Cristobal El Principe - post breakfast with morning coffee. very nice Initially, with light toasty delicate flavor. Gets more spice and sweet graham in the first third. Tunnel had to be corrected soon after lighting, good burn after that. Some cocoa and nutty tobacco, second half gets nicely salty, quite woody at the end. Burn was meh, full flavor and body, med strength. Overall so so with good flavors.

ERDM Choix Supreme - per light draw of wet tobacco, delicate. Extremely smooth flavors, very balanced smoke on the first half. Complex with creamy fruits and light but toasty flavors. Some baking spices on the aftertaste. Mild-med, perfect burn and draw, perfume like fragrance. Beautiful thin silky wrapper. Sneaky strength.

Partagas Short - perfect construction, cool little cigar. Perfect cut, probably around 60% rh when smoked, spicy pre draw. All leather and pure tobacco flavors, some very light background spice but not overwhelming. Extremely rich and smooth with no rough edges, bit of bitterness at end. Kick ass smoke that was very much a smokers cigar. With earl gray. Buy. 3/14/12

HdM Epicure No. 1 - really good construction, nice scent, smoked on golf course. light with a smooth texture and creaminess, a touch grassy. too light in body and flavor for me, should try another at home, good morning bigger smoke or to keep around for others. 3/16/12

Monte No 5. - solid again, smoked on the course not much in the way of notes. 3/16/12

Bolivar pc - appealing rustic construction. Extremely salty on the lips, very rich smoke, earthy and smooth, no rough edges, great burn, a bit tough to get through at the end due to bitterness. Very savory character. 3/17/12

SCelP - unsmokeably open draw 3/18/12 way under filled.

Party short - good construction, mottled oily little smoke. Draw slightly too open, showing less individuality than the last. I think this demonstrates why lower rh is better, but also somewhat under filled. 3/18/12

Monte No 4 - toasty dependable monte goodness, perfect burn. 3/18/12

Mag 46- Perfect constrction, cuban draw. Toasted nuts and sweet twangy tobacco. Pretty monolithic throughout, some youth showing with a bit of sourness.

Psd4 - beautiful silky smooth, oily wrapper. Looks slightly under filled so I punched rather than cut and this was a good call as the draw is almost too loose. 1/3 Mouth full of cream on first light, moves to the background but stays present, then the spice and leather picks up, buttery nutty finish. 2/3. Full bodied mesquite charr and tobacco flavors with some ramped up spice float over a creamy background. Building strength. 3/3 powerhouse flavors, spice and twangy sense showing more with very pure tobacco flavors. Strength and body even fuller now, very leathery. Wavy but self correcting burn, tight gray ash hold for well over an inch. Excellent.

Cheers guys and gals, enjoy the weekend! I'm already starting to with a Really good Siglo II and a glass of Cragganmore, so hopefully your Friday evening is going as well as mine is.

Glad everyone enjoyed.... The Siglo II that I had last night is gonna be a hard act to beat for best smoke of April, but it's early still....
