El Presidente Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Well, not sure why God has the timing He does sometimes, how it continues to not make any sense : My wife and I found out tonight that my friends wife is pregnant with their 3rd child, a child who will never know his/her father. This news only a week after we buried him. I didn't think my emotional system could handle any more, yet to be shocked with this news and feeling utterly broken again. That is brutal David. I am sure she will be surrounded by a ton of love from family and friends. The world is sometimes unfathonable.
Rushman Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 David that absolutely breaks my heart. Again, my thoughts are with you and the family of your amigo. Take care. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=20.631757,-87.070518

Puros Y Vino Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 The very definition of "bittersweet" And like Rob says, I'm sure that child will get a lot of love and support.
Orion21 Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 I am literally speechless after this update...stunned, shocked saddened beyond comprehension for a family I don't even know. David, This is a pretty straight forward question: Is the family going to be ok financially? Since we are in the same business you will understand -- one of my first thoughts was "God I hope he had a lot of life insurance." If not, I would be happy to contribute to a memorial fund in the event they are in a tough spot, especially with small children and another on the way. I am sure many here would want to help in anyway they could. If you would prefer, please PM me.
sloth Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Sorry to read all of this... you are a good friend.

For anyone else interested in making a donation to his family's Memorial Fund that is set up for his wife and kids, trust me, they need the assistance, especially with a new one on the way. If you are interested PM for the details. I will be running a charity Golf, Auction & Poker Toournament later this summer for teh benefit of the fund as well, so if anyone wants to donate cigars or anything to that cause when the time comes, let me know you are willing. Thanks to all.
Rushman Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Sending a pm. Would love to help in any way I can. I've got a bunch of cigar smoking friends in Houston and I know there are some other Texans on the forum. Despite the fact that I don't live in the US anymore, I'd be glad to help talk some Houston folks into making it to your charity event as they all love poker and most love golf. Maybe a mega Texas herf along with it.
brazoseagle Posted March 26, 2012 Author Posted March 26, 2012 I'm touched by the generous members here that are willing to help out a family in sincere need, that they have never met!!! The Human Spirit never ceases to amaze me.
jacktarnold Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Sorry for your loss. My prayers are with Craig's family and you.
