Rushman Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 But what is a box worthy smoke?? that's the beauty of this, it's up to the individual to determine that, and it's hella fun getting there whether it's through a bunch of singles, samplers or boxes. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=20.631693,-87.070631
Rushman Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Box worthy smokes Cohiba lanceros, robustos Cohiba BHK 54 RA Allones extras RASS Cohiba siglo I, ii, IV and vi Trinidad fundadores Montecristo especial no. 1 Again, that is the beauty of cigars.....I mean that all of the box worthy cigars he mentions are great and most smokers, this one included, would be happy to have any of them in their humidor. Having said that, tastes differ and personally I would leave off a few of this list and add others. I think there is a very long list of box worthy cigars but it boils down to your individual taste and nobody can lead you there, you must find it. For instance, RASS is my number 1 or 2 fave Robusto. But I am equally happy to smoke my number 3 or 4 fave Robusto which is a Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure 2. The two cigars couldn't be further from each other in taste and strength profiles but I'm equally happy to smoke either. So for me, I'd want a box of both. Enjoy the journey, buy a large storage system, hide the expense from your wife. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=20.631696,-87.070607
dicko Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 I like the random approach. Pick a heap of singles with no rhyme or reason - just make sure you get at least two or three of each. I agree. I also agree with buying atleast 3. because cubans you can often get a dud, and you won't fully appreciate what that particular cigar might have to offer
Chunks96ss Posted February 12, 2012 Author Posted February 12, 2012 Thanks for the advice everyone, I really appreciate it
