This could be you and your mates in your man tent in Winnipeg, you and your wife/mates at the New years eve celebrations, You and the dog justchilling out. Caveat. Each post must detail what cigar you were having and why you chose it + a brief summary or at least rating. Start a new thread for each with New Years 2012 somewhere in the title. mazolaman Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 I posted this elsewhere, but seems to fit here too. I will also post a New years piccie, as it's looking promising. Finally finished working like a dog, and decided to take Claire for a cocktail or two...in a cigar terrace. She's such a lucky lady. Anyway, I fancied the garden room at the Lanesborough, but it wasn't open, so tried Ten Manchester street instead. Great heated terrace, with a blankie if you need one. Good selection of cigars available, all the big names, and a few UK releases. Probably about 50 to choose from. Good drinks available, ie spirits, wines, cocktails. Friendly service. I had a Por Larranaga regalias de Londres, mighty fine it was too, classic toasty tobacco, with floral notes,and a hint of pine.As I usually find with Por Laranaga, there isn't too much change in flavour, only getting a little stronger as it develops. Fine mojito too.Claire had a champagne and raspberry cocktail, which was thoroughly enjoyed... I'd recommend the place, near Oxford and Bond streets, if you fancy a break from the shopping... dB69 Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 Count me in with "Me and my first cigar of the year 2012". Quai d'Orsay Gran Corona -06, usually very tasty. It was the new years eve party yesterday, now a terrible hangover. Empty bottle of portwine on the table. Can't even think of it at the moment. Empty bottle of Coke on the table. Need to pick a new one from upstairs. No, it's too far away. Have to get some rest. Headache. Can't smoke the cigar.
