this morning, after a big mexican breakfast, sales were slow, so I lit up one of my go to morning sticks, the HDM Epi 2. I must have too much time on my hands, as I smoked t all the way down to the nub without ever losing the ash. The things we do to entertain ourselves.

By the way, amazing smoke.

Upmann is running that long ash contest. Granted you have to smoke an Upmann and register, but you have the skills

LONGEST ASH CONTEST

by andrew naGy

The next time you’re smoking an H. Upmann cigar, be

wary of how you ash—you could end up within the pages of your favorite cigar magazine.

H. Upmann and Cigar Aficionado have teamed up to cre- ate a contest where a photograph of your long, unbroken ash could land you two tickets to your choice of either the New York or Las Vegas Big Smokes.

In addition, the winner will be featured in an advertise- ment that runs in Cigar Aficionado magazine, plus receive a box of H. Upmann cigars and a one-year subscription to the magazine.

Retailers all over the country are participating by host- ing events in which attendees receive an H. Upmann 1844 Reserve cigar, t-shirts, paper rulers to measure the ash and a special golf tool.

To find a participating retailer, visit http://longestashcontest. cigaraficionado.com or follow on Twitter @LongestAsh. n
