Its discontinued but seems to be a great cigar when well aged. Some text that I found about this cigar "this is a great "churchill". quite unknown and allways underestimated. Strength 2/5. increased to 3/5 at 5 years old" "when well aged, that is no less than 20 to 25 years, can be of the same league as a davidoff Dom Pérignon, might even be better. the fact that this model is always packed in a beautiful ceder slide lif box and never in a semi plain box suggest that this cigar gets special respect, and off course, the best raw materials. production is always small, but well worth the effort to look for." Lotusguy Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 I had one that was gifted by another BOTL here and while it was very good, I didn't think it was outstanding. However, that one was much less than 20 years aged (IIRC, it was from 2001 or so).
Chaki Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 I have a box of ECA NOV 00. It's my favorite Churchill. I don't know about Davidoff Dom Pérignon so i cannot compare. Anyhow, I doubt I will be able to make my box last 25 years

Mr.T Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 I have a box from 1997 and they are phenomenal smokes. Incredibly smooth, rich and complex. I agree that these really need to age a bit in order for their full complexity and smoothness to come out. Great smokes IMHO.
greenpimp Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 I have a box of these from 01. Very very good cigar, heavy and kind of somber, earthy. Lovely, but I would agree these increase in strength and complexity. After I finish one now, I am (nearly) done for the day. Wish I had more.
