kiwicrusaders Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Has anyone been through the duty free in / going out of China. Just wanting to know if there is a habanos dealer. What they might stock and what the prices are. Thanks in advance.
winelover Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Always be careful in China. I remember buying dud fake batteries from an official government store in the Forbidden City. Well it was 2002 but fakes were everywhere and sold by official outlets too. Hopefully things have moved on since then. Caveat emptor!
gigabyte056 Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 I have seen dubious MC no.4 in the Beijing Duty free shop. also they were extremely dried up as the cabinet they were stored in was closed up using a folded piece of paper...
Lotusguy Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Prices are high, quality and authenticity are questionnable, and the condition of the cigars is poor. I would (and did) stay away. Also, you won't see anything except Monte, RyJ and Cohiba.
Edwhatever Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 I was at the shanghai airport duty free. ( the blue banner with a red sun logo) A 5 pack of Cohiba lancero for just a little less than $100 usd, unbelievable. The cigars were a little dry though, they don't have a humidification device in their shelves. The sales told me that there are regular customers who will pre order cigars from them and pick up while passing through.
