kiwicrusaders Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 I think I may be coming to the conclusion that the hermosos nr 4 is my favorite size cigar. With the saint Luis Rey regions and Vegas robaina famsos being my fav. Just wondering from a taste profile point of view if I've enjoyed monte petit edmundos and to some degree partagas nr 4 but not bolivar royal coronas .... Also thought the h upmann mag 50 was average.... Do u think I will like h upmann nr 1?
thechenman Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 You will never know until you try it, but from the comments you have made in your post, I would say that it is highly probable that you would like the HPC1. Order a few singles and give it a try...
Dbone Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 After Smithy brought attention to them a few months back, I purchased a box in the LFTH. Holy cow, what an outstanding cigar. Yes they're young but the flavor is so bold, sharp, and complex I've gone ahead and put 2 more in the locker. The flavor is balanced though, so it's not bold "in-your-face". Like most Upmann, they have legs and I'm sure will age well, but not in my humidor
investandprosper Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 I had one on the golf course today, and it was as creamy as the Mag 46. Less chocolate, more of a coffee cream. Love this cigar, perfect for any time.
Hohenthal Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Upmann Connoisseur is a classic - if you like the size, you could also add Rey del Mundo Choix Supreme to your rotation, they are mild to medium bodied, but with a very aromatic flavour, beautiful quality and, like H.UC1, another classic. Enjoy!
