Ok so once again we have an amazing line up of cigars matched with awesome drinks courtesy of Max from Aldante Wines.

Now down to business, the venue will remain at Fix St James as mentioned previously until we find a new location, I do want to thank everyone who made a recommendation.

The cigars we picked for this occasion are different to last time, 1 – Ramon Allones Specially Selected. The 2nd cigar which will be our pre-dinner cigar – Saint Louis Ray Regio .

The Ramon Allones Specially Selected has always ranked high however the Saint Louis Ray Region had a bad run and is making a come up will it impress us? Only one way to find out and I can’t wait to share the experience with everyone else.

The beverage on the night are few Bourbons handpicked by Max Sinicco, again thank you for your constant support.

1 - In Kentucky, buffalo carved out a pathway that was followed by America’s first pioneers and explorers. On the spot where their migration route crossed the Kentucky River, Buffalo Trace has been making legendary bourbon whiskey for over 220 years. “One of the world’s greatest whiskies”- Jim Murray, Whisky Magazine. This Handcrafted small batch bourbon has outstanding aroma, kicked off by a spicy prickle, satisfyingly deep, gentle vanilla with a sprig of mint. Uncompromising and complex beyond belief.

2 - An extremely hearty whiskey. Stagg comes straight out of the barrel, uncut and unfiltered. Powerful and intense; add a few drops of mineral water, sit back and ponder the wonders of the universe. 2005 Bourbon of the year 2006 whiskey of the year- Jim Murray's, Whisky Bible

3 - This wheated bourbon was honored with a Gold Medal at the 2008 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. We filled these particular barrels at 114.0 proof back in 1998, but after eleven years of aging the whiskey is now 134.8 proof.

4 - Double Gold 2008- San Francisco World Spirit competition. Bright honey/topaz color. The early aromas include gentle grain, toasted honey-wheat bread and tabacco leaf. An oily, toasty beauty seduces the taste buds at palate entry with dry flavours of cereal grain and mild oak resin- the mid-palate include sweet and oily flavours of raisins, grapefruit, charred oak and candied almonds. The finish is long, corny sweet and moderately firey.

5 - We are very proud to say this whiskey was named, "World's Best American Whiskey" by Whisky Magazine in 2009. This offering is comprised of barrels over 7 years and 3 months old. We filled these barrels at 125 proof back in 2002, but after years of aging the whiskey is now 129 proof.

6 - Sazerac Straight Rye Whiskey symbolizes the tradition and history of New Orleans dating back to the 1800’s. Sazerac Straight Rye Whiskey was used to make the original, first and only branded American Cocktail–The Sazerac. This rye has a light amber/burnt orange colour, the nose includes sun dried peaches and spice with a hint of caramel and huge burst of cinnamon spice. The finish is fruity and sweet at first with a dash of spice, wood oak and caramel.
