Dbone Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 I had a chance to sample a couple of these with about 2 years of age. Not the typical coffee and cream I'd associate with the #2, but rather a crisp sharpness like the #4's with similar age. What I call campfire coffee lol. No bitterness. Really enjoyable long and skinny. Can't wait to smoke a few more.

frenchkiwi Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 How mild would you say they are? I have some MAR 09s that were so mild as to lack flavour last year. Slightly floral, a bit of cedar maybe. I was expecting mildness having smoked the odd Especiales (1s&2s) before, but these ones were TOO mild. I haven't touched them since. They do have rather light wrappers which is probably a contributing factor. Hoping the miracle of age will operate and the blend inside will gain just enough so that their subtlety can shine through... Anyone else known these to strengthen with age?

I'd have to be on the other end of the spectrum, french. These where a notch above medium body... it wasn't hiding anything. Really punchy and flavorful.

Really punchy and flavorful. hmmm... thanks that is good info and also concerning info. maybe i should split that psp box from LFTH with someone and compare with mine own... who would be up for that? (i could take 6-12 or 13 of them)
