El Presidente Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Thie new street may not have a *** Bath house but it isn't much shorter of colourful characters. it is a tough street and someone has taken a liking to the outside garden tap. No problem...we just got an anti theft tap...the one where the you just remove the wingnut and store it away. We got it Friday afternoon. Smithy and Warren were laughing that they would put it on a chain so I wouldn't lose it. Seriously, how big a gumby do they think I am! I lost it Saturday. Was watering some new plants....went to turn the tap off...and knocked the wingnut into the deep drainpipe below...I lost it in under 24 hours Wazza brought in a new one yesterday. He had a smile ear to ear. Smithy is looking for a chain. Warehouse refurbishments are going well
Warren Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Still brings on a chuckle just thinking about it.
Trevor2118 Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Still brings on a chuckle just thinking about it. Hi Warren, What's the current betting on wingnut number 2. I figure fairly short priced, but I would still like to get in on the action. Trevor
mazolaman Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 I can imagine the language as it headed down the drain....
kmagurk Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 what is there an over/under line on wingnuts ?

Trevor It was bound to happen. If you can picture a tap mounted on an outside wall with an open drain directly beneath the tap and that drain has no grating over it. The odds are pretty high that the removable tap handle is going to go bye byes. When I picked up a new tap handle I also picked up a grate so it should be the last time that happens. But then again you'd be nuts bet on it.
PigFish Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Rob's definition of a tough neighborhood; "Someone used my water!!!" What a crime spree! -P

Fuzz AI Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Could've just bought a tap guard to sit over the tap. No wing nut to lose and you can use any old padlock you have laying around.

CanuckSARTech Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 No good....keys are easier to loose. Get a combination lock then.... No, wait.... Rob would probably forget that then???
