LCDH in Playa del Carmen, Mexico

I'm going to Playa del Carmen, Mexico next week and I've heard there is a good LCDH in the area. The best address I could come up with is: 5th Avenue, between 26 and 28 street, Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, Mexico.

When I looked it up on google maps it looks kind of sketchy to me so I was wondering if any fellow BOTL have been there or know of a better place?

I've been to this LDCH. It was a number of years ago, but from memory the staff was friendly. They gave me a 5% discount on my purchase because their credit card machine was down and they were thankful that I stayed with them until they fixed it, instead of going to the other 3 (much more sketchy) shops on the main tourist street in Playa. This is the only shop in Playa I would revisit.

And I thought 5th Avenue was just associated with the German Regional selections, primarily the Bolivars

I went to this one about a week ago and it pains me to say stay away. They had a really bad selection and the cigars were very poorly taken care of, a a good number were dried out while others had mold ( my wife did a study on mold in college so it was 100% mold). Really disappointed as I expected much more. If I were you I would bring my own or if you happen to make a trip to Cozumel they seem to have a better LCDH(1 hour each way by boat) or Cancun(1 hour each way by car) has a great one, but only if you happen to be going there because the cigars in Mexico carry a HIGH tax.

Thanks for the reply guys. I myself do not plan on buying anything there. One of my friends is planning on buying all his cigars down there. I have already told him the price is the same here and I wouldn't buy cigars here either. After showing my g/f some of the pictures of the place she actually wants to tag along and smoke a cigar with us. This could be huge for me if she enjoys herself so I definitely want to see this one through! We are staying at a resort in Playa del Carmen and I just want to make sure my friend doesn't end up with knockoffs and we'd like a nice place to have a drink and smoke a couple sticks outside the resort.
