cckandb24 Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 I bought these about 8 months ago when they first came out. They were a nice size at 5"x 42, Smoked one when they first arrived and it was wretched, so spicy there was no way to enjoy it. Put them in my crap humidor and forgot about them. Went to work on my car the other day and grabbed one and it blew me away on how nuch it mellowed out with a flawless burn and more smoke than any cigar I have ever smoked. still has the spice but so much more enjoyable. Not a ton of evolution but darn good. I have smoked 2 since then and the exact same. Quite a treat if you like that particular corona size and its a NC. Thanks
rckymtn22 Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 It is in the title... man o war puro authentico
lemmycaution Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 I couldn't see it in the title either. Probably has to do with me using an IPod.
KarlJ Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 I couldn't see it in the title either. Probably has to do with me using an IPod. I'm on the mobile version of the website and that doesn't show? How bizarre.

PAL Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Had a similar, if more immediately gratifying, experience. was in NYC and stopped in this huge cigar shop on 5th and 50th (or there abouts). Not much experience with NCs so went by looks and nose. Bought a 'Bolivar Confradia 554' and was blown-away by how much I enjoyed it. Almost a cohiba-like experience. Tried the double-corona and belicosos by the same maker, which are OK, but that 554 seems so nice for a five-dollar smoke. Interestingly, this has launched me on a NC trial frenzy. Got me thinking more about really tasting the smokes and making my own evaluation rather than relying on the brand. All that for a chance encounter with a five buck smoke. Learning opportunities and inspiration are all around us! PAL
Diamondog Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Another you may like to try is the Man "o War Armada....comes in a big Toro but also a Corona version I believe...
cckandb24 Posted October 11, 2011 Author Posted October 11, 2011 That marca has I think 5 different blends the puro authentico was the only one I liked so far. I have three of the armadas but yet to smoke one, they're like 7x60 just too big for me, I got then free for signing up for a cigar of the month club.
prshah25 Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 If you AJ Fernandez try his newest cigar oval
Plato Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Other than spice, what is the flavor profile like?
