Hey y'all got my edgestar 28 today and i am wondering, whats the latest verdict about the drain plug? Plug it up or not? Also for you guys that have these set up any problems you can think of that i might encounter? thanks

Plug it and getting the plastic smell out was a problem for me.

I plugged mine with electrical tape. Getting the plastic smell out was not that hard- I stuffed mine with newspaper, then changed it out after 3 or 4 days, did that twice or maybe three times, no plastic smell at all.

has anyone had any condensation problems? if so how did you deal with it? have not had any yet but the highest the temp will go is 62F

If you have condensation issues you should not plug the hole.

I plugged mine. I had condensation issues in August when it was hot. I put two mesh bags of beads on the bottom, problem solved.

I plugged mine. I have the condensation drain into an empty tupperware dish in the bottom, and recycle the water as needed.
