Diamondog Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 I am interested in hearing thoughts on the 898V '99 production year, thanks.
Professor Twain Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 I am interested in hearing thoughts on the 898V '99 production year, thanks. I had some with box code TDC CCUG, they were wonderful, distinctive Partagas pepper and earthy taste, and no problems with the draw. But some cigars from that year will have tight draws. Dry boxing before smoking might be necessary. With cigars from that year, it is always a gamble.
aavkk Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 I would actually go with 09 production to be honest. Other than the early 06's the late 09's are some of the best 898V's rolled in the past decade or more.
aes8 Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Partagas or Ramon Allones? A man after my own heart. I can tell you the RA898 SCO/ENE01 are increadibly creamy, and expensive.
Diamondog Posted September 5, 2011 Author Posted September 5, 2011 Sorry, yes you are right, the Partagas...
Pilgrims Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 I had an 8-9-8 from 99 not long ago and it is one of the finest smokes (I've not had that many aged ones) I have ever had, brilliant!
