TonyV Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 I just got my first good look of my first order from the Czar. Just put the Robusto splits in my humidor after the freezing process.Have to say they're absolutely gorgeous. Can't wait to smoke one in a few weeks. My only regret is i wish i found FoH years ago
Scdalak Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 Good Luck with them, Rubusto Splits was also my first CZAR purchase back in the day, Great Sampler pack to get the lay of the land. RASS was my favorite out of the bunch..

Each one has proven to be a magnificent specimen of the art from La Isla Prohibida and considerably superior to those I've experienced from other suppliers. FOH and the Czar are the real deal in more ways than one!
mazolaman Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 IIRR,some people freeze their cigars as they arrive,to kill off bugs.
maverickdrinker Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 freezing cigars wrap box in saran wrap and put in fridge for 2 days put in freezer for 4days put back in fridge for 2 days leave on counter for 1 day put box in humidor easy peasy
TonyV Posted August 27, 2011 Author Posted August 27, 2011 I freeze mine like this- 2 zip lock freezer bags- 24 hours in the refrigerator-72 hours in the freezer,at highest temperature it will go- 48 hours back in the fridge- then into my humidor. i by-pass the at room temp because room and humidor are both at 65 -66 degrees and the humidity is 65 in the humidor and 55 in the room.. then i'll wait at least 2 weeks before sparking one up..
kiwirwe Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 I smoked my 1st one the other day, your in for a treat. :-)
Taksan Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 Maybe I missed it, but can anyone explain why you would freeze cigars in the first place? Thanks.
