Hey guys! Im going to have a cabinet humidor built and i need your input on the dimensions. Ive come up with 40"W x 31"H x 12"D. It is going in our foyer which is the first room you walk into through the front door. There is a small half round table there now that we use to put our keys and other small items that we might have in our hands that we need to set down at the time. My question is, do you think that these dimensions are useable/practical? It just doesn't need to stick out from the wall too far.

If you are trying to fit a particular space, I guess you'll have certain limitations / considerations.

Otherwise, my suggestion is to go as big as is affordable - many of us have found that there is

no such thing as too much capacity :)

I think you will be limited by the depth of the humidor. I'd rather lose a little width, and stretch the depth to around 16"-18" because the space would be a lot more usable.

Also, making it higher would give you more space for cigars. As long as the wood you're using is pretty the missus shouldn't complain B)

Well the depth is the real problem, any more space depth wise and you'll be walking around it instead of walking by it. I guess i could expand on the height to offset the lack of depth though.
