My first attempt at a cigar review J

Burn time: ~40 Minutes.

Pre light aroma: Touches of sweetness, mint, and dark chocolate.

Draw: Almost perfect, leaning towards the tight side.

Reading Material: How they got Osama.

First third: This cigar started in full stride, strong and spicyfrom the onset. Initial quantities of smoke were minimal, leaving something to be wanted. This cigar has a depth of flavor that I cannot fully describe, but is rather complex for a cigar this size. Taste that I can describe are:woodiness, slight sweetness leaning towards chocolate.

Second Third:

Quantity of smoke gets better, cigars becomes overly spicy to my taste, with not enough abundance of flavors.

Last third: Burn becomes uneven; taste at this point is almost gone, with a strong pepper taste.

Overall: A good experience, but this particular stick didnot have all the flavors I was expecting. Too much spiciness, not enough of the woodiness, dark chocolate and sweetness that I have felt in his brothers. There is a very strong woody aftertaste in my mouth long after this cigar hasfinished.

Rating: Who am I kidding – I cannot do this cigar any justice with my level of experience. :-)

Kudos to the FOH team for getting me to analyze the experience this much.

Have a great weekend.

Try punching your petit robusto next time, I usually punch these cigars like the HdM PR or Monte PE and I get better results. Good review, keep at it!

Thanks for the feedback guys!.

I have to say that the new forum layout makes it a hundred time easier to post pictures into the forum.

OK, i punched mine and the darn thing just fell apart, how hard are you supposed to punch it?

Maybe a slap would be better to make it bring its flavors out.

I hated this cigar when i first tried it. Both times it sucked. So i decided to give it one last chance and wow, been in love with them since. You need to let them rest for at least 1 year in your humidor without touching them. I have some cabs from 2005 and 2006 and they are wonderful. Aging is a big factor for these cigars!!

I find they taste like cinnamon. Yummy.

This has been a staple of mine for the last 18 months, but I agree that they can be inconsistent.

Only today I smoked one that started off really well, wood and leather with a slight sweetness for the first 3rd or so then it just lost its way..

That being said when they are good they are a solid everyday cuban, not overly complex but pleasent all the same. I always have some in stock for a quick smoke.

I dunno how these are with age tbh, only just started on them recently, but the '11s I've had so far have been beautiful, creamy, chocolatey and light all the way to the nub, maybe a bit of spice at the end but very little - Remembering that I don't think I'll ever have any with age either!

Might just be a good year for them?

Agree with Zigatoh. Just had one today from April '11 and it was fabulous. Trying to keep my hands off of most of the rest of these to see just how good they get.

Although just to ammend my last post, the end of the smoke was a bit rubbish. Got hot no matter how much I slowwed down, no flavor just spice like the review. Very good cigar but disappointing finish.

Great review ! Have smoked a few of those & they have been nice, but i have got different ends of the spectrum from different samples - some were on the sweet side as David has mentioned but maybe one or two were savoury  But i dont remember having a bad finish - i pretty much enjoyed them eitherway :)

A good and short cigar for the Canadian winter months when you are forced to smoke outside!
