Colt45 Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 This is less of a "proper" review versus a kind of update - apologies in advance. I spent the day in Boston walking around - a lot. Along the Charles River, Mass Ave, Newbury Street, the Garden, the Common, and on and on..... Some members will know where I mean, most won't care After a lunch of seafood risotto with a great glass of fume blanc (sorry KG), I walked some more to a cigar bar I sometimes go to when I'm in town. Normally when I know I'll be going to a lounge, I'll pack a choice of at least three cigars. Before leaving today, I grabbed one - the Hoyo Churchill. So to the point.... These have been very good from the get go - today's sample was the best yet. Pretty much any tannic nature / astringency was gone, leaving a very smooth cigar with a core flavor of middle fruit - not really stewed, not really bright. It did not have quite as much of the sweet cream element of previous samples, but it was far from gone, and it was not missed. Medium / medium plus in body, excellent construction / draw - all around great tobacco - I couldn't ask for more. I know these can be a love it or hate it cigar..... I just hope my box in storage is as as good
laficion Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 A fine & relaxing review, thanks for sharing the moment Ross.

cigarconnoisseur Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 I highly recommend the Hoyo De Monterrey robusto.
