Dbone Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 If you are smoking alone, not doing anything - no reading, computer, etc - smoking a very enjoyable cigar, after a time, do you ever feel a bit bored, kindof waiting for the cigar to burn to it's end? I'll admit that I have felt this way at times, and probably more so with larger format cigars. But perhaps it's more the situation of sitting alone with one's thoughts for an hour or two rather than the cigar itself? We live in a very fast paced, information and communication "now" time. With the advent the internet, email, text messages, and the mobile devices which deliver all this, and then even more, all within our hands it'd hard to sit still these days. For example, my brother hates riding in a plane because it's a waist of time (hours) because he can't "plug-in". Yes, it is harder than ever these days for people to sit back, relax, and enjoy careless free time. I try and do as best I can when it comes to cigar time. But eventually I'm reaching for the cell phone or other mobile device to check email, send a few text messages, surf the net, or check out some new apps or music. Not all the time, though. Do I get bored by the cigar, not really. It's more a product of my own self attention, or lack there of, to the relaxing activity of just plain doing nothing.
