CanuckSARTech Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 \ Thats interesting. I have actually had people here at the SAQ, LCBO and the local CASA tell me it was exactly the same. More research needed I guess. Maybe that's what they're being told by Cuban sources, who knows. But thinking back, I think the BP stuff is with a 8-year aging or something like that (one more year than Anejo 7 Anos, plus it being straight, unblended barrel-proof at 45%), and then the Maestro stuff at 10-years or so, and it being a preferred blend. I think that's about the gist of it.

Maybe it's still available in Cuba... don't know. I paid about the same for both the BP and SDM. Last time I checked, the BP was way cheaper at LCBO because they had listed it as discontinued and I guess they wanted to liquidate their stock of BP.
