So then, after my initial and clearly very misguided concern over not seeing a boxcode where I thought I should have, what have I found on the first one from the box?.Well it's quite simply a wonderful smoke.Construction and draw perfect and burn as near perfect as makes no difference,I just had to gently touch the wrapper down one side briefly after I lost the first ash.Fantastically cool and smooth smoking experience with a growing intensity of sweet and spicy as the cigar developed. Not terribly complex as you might expect for a 40 RG but as a go to everyday smoke when there's a spare 40 minutes to kick back with then these were very well worth it.I'm praying that my #2's when they arrive will be on the same level.Cheers

23/6/2011 Two months on.No hint of any spice at all but a very cool, smooth, chocolatey raisin flavour along with that fantastic cuban tobacco taste.Damn I wish I had a box of the recent #2's! Wonderful early afternoon smoke :2thumbs:

I've always enjoyed the Monte No.5's as well.

Thanks for the review. It also reminded me that I need to get some more as I only have a few left.

Great stuff Mike.

They are a very underrated cigar which is understandable in a vitola lineup which is highly competitive with great cigars.
