BradNC Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Just wondering what y'all do when you have a dress box and start going through the initial layer. Do you then remove the cedar divider between the two layers or just leave it in with the cigars on the first layer rolling around on top? Just curious as to the general preference here. I'd doubt it really matters on aging or long term storage but thought I would ask here. Thanks!
rckymtn22 Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 I leave the cedar divider in place. Figure it helps protect the bottom layer.
Dbone Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Good question, I'd like to know what others do too. I will consolidate boxes if I need the room. They kind of end up like Czars sampler boxes LOL Otherwise I'll just leave the box as is and let it empty out.
Habanakane21 Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 With dress boxes I always leave it in. No real reason other than to keep that cedar smell. Once I hit the bottom level I take it out and cut them into long strips and put them in many empty boxes I have stored. I use them to light cigars once in a while. Being the sophisticated guy I am! lol..
CohibaBehike Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 leave it. I always say leave it the way you get it, it's in there for a reason
thechenman Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 I just leave the cedar sheet in place until the top layer is gone. When I start taking from the second layer, I place the cedar sheet on the bottom of the box.
tmac77 Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 I also leave the cedar in. I actually used leftover cedar dividers to line my cooler/tuperwear humi's.
