Police are still looking for 75 of these 10-ounce gold bars they alleged were fraudulently purchased.

Toronto police have arrested five people allegedly involved in the fraudulent purchase of 75 distinctive gold bars worth an estimated $1.9 million.

Police have only recovered one of the bars, which weigh about 10 ounces each, and bear the symbol of the Perth Mint in Australia on one side and kangaroos imprinted on the back.

"We do not know where the gold is. The investigation is ongoing," Field said. "We believe the gold is out there."

The bars were bought in Montreal sometime between Feb. 9 and 11.

A "fraudulently obtained" bank draft for $1,895,751 was used to purchase the bars, police said at the time.

I AHEM, seem to have acquired a few of these bars.
