Aroma at cold – salty, very cedary. looks perfect, great draw.

Initial puffs- cedar, slightest vanilla, very salty on the lips. Creamy with a hint of pepper through the nose.

Medium full body. Smoke is thick, peppery and creamy at same time.

1st third- this cigar is straight into stride, clearly complex but the flavours are side-stepping me. Deceptively complex if you will. Like a talented footballer showing you a bit of the ball then wrong-footing you in defence.

Has some serious strength, right into full now (after 5-10 mins). Cedary flavour is dominant. Roasted coffee, hint of vanilla and cream. You can taste the youth, but also the quality. I would be happy if I bought the box it was from, but alas these are occasional ‘singles’ treats for me.

2nd- coffee, tobacco, cream, aftertaste of vanilla and cinnamon . still damn strong after half an hour. Bit of burnt candy/caramel. Milk through the nose.

Perfectly complimented by the Zacapa 23 i’m drinking. Listening to cold chisel “bow river” live version. Like this song, the stick would be awesome with some age on it.

Half way the stick moves down to a medium/medium-full.

3rd- some of the same. Fell away a lot.

Overall- damn good smoke. First smoke to knock my socks off in a while. Some great flavours. Second half was average but I would put most of that down to youth. These must be scary good with some age.

Score- 88 (first half 92-93, second half 83-84).

Funny. I just smoked a Siglo IV the other weekend with some Zacapa 23. Good combo! Although there isn't much that doesn't pair well with Zacapa.

Starting to get into the Siglo line. Need to try the II's
