I'm a guitar player and have to say...The cigar box guitar is a cool novelty idea and it works in a pinch as a real instrument, but if you try and put a pickup in one and plug it in to an amp the feedback is overbearing.

I have been thinking of making one of my own to hang on the wall in my smoking room, but I'm not an Aussie, so I'll have to use one of my own boxes.

I am just starting a cigar box uke - I posted a little while ago about box sizes of RASS as I thought that colour combo was interesting

I have supplies for a couple except the boxes - I mostly smoke pc s or smaller and I think the box needs to be at least robust but prob corona gorda size or bigger (for acoustic)

So Rob mate go for your life and pick something and I will try not to destroy it
