Montaigut Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Have any of you folks been following the Autumn Test Matches? Care to share some of your views, impressions for what has gone on so far and predictions for what is coming up? Looking forward to having lots of feedback when I wake up next morning. Anything rugby in the morning is like a religious experience... Crouch, touch... engage!
PADDYWHACK121272 Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 All I know is Ireland WILL hammer the all-blacks....
Montaigut Posted November 19, 2010 Author Posted November 19, 2010 Ochhh Paddywhack! Best of luck... One thing is for sure, it will be an all black and blue affair!
mazolaman Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Have to say,the England Australia game was the best international I've seen in ages.
Montaigut Posted November 19, 2010 Author Posted November 19, 2010 Indeed it was a great game. Did you manage to be in Twickenham for the fixture?
mazolaman Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Nope,in the pub down the road from there, wish I was though....
El Presidente Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Have to say,the England Australia game was the best international I've seen in ages. Wish I could agree
Montaigut Posted November 20, 2010 Author Posted November 20, 2010 Good game Scotland, good game!! Burning heart and all... That my friend is worth a dram.
Montaigut Posted November 20, 2010 Author Posted November 20, 2010 Good game, wicked pace! With a bit more control of the ball Ireland would have held the AB's to a much closer score. Starting to look good for the RWC next year...
PADDYWHACK121272 Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Great Irish performance against a phenomenal side....someday....
frenchkiwi Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 There hasn't really been a great game - read epic - in the autumn series so far, where two teams came out and played their best rugby against each other. Ireland vs ABs was probably the prettiest to watch because skill levels were pretty good on both sides and both teams ran at each other but defended well also. But then it was quite clear from half time (eg stat: Ire 90 tackles to AB 30, roughly) which team was going to pull away with it so there wasn't much suspense involved. So highlights so far are probably the real upsets: Scotland and Munster. And how well Fiji Samoa are doing with (as usual) far from their 1st XV on the pitch. The 6 nations shaping up to be interesting, with ireland and england (scotland?) showing they might be able to offer a challenge to the french this time...
