Ah, the BCS debate. I am a bit on the fence on the bowl vs. playoff argument. When my Trojans were left out of the 2003 NCG, I was all for a playoff. Then again in 2007 when a 2-loss LSU team won it all, I was again, a big playoff proponent. However, the argument AGAINST a playoff is the fact that it will take away from the regular season. No body gives a damn about South Carolina's win against Alabama if there were a playoff.

If we do have a playoff, it can't be more than 4-6 teams, 8 at the max. Then again, look at NCAA basketball. It use to be 32 teams, then 64, then 65, now there's talk about 96 teams? Get out!

Back to the current BCS, I know it's a long ways from the final poll, but it certainly is entertaining picking on the BCS! So LSU is #2 accoring to the computers huh... ok... Missouri is not in the top 25 in one CPU poll, yet is top 10 in all the other ones? ok... You know what, forget what I said earlier, the more I look at the BCS, the more it pisses me off! Bring on the playoffs!

Yeah BCS is flawed. Maybe if Boise State and TCU meet in Championship game then they'll seriously look at a playoff. I think these two schools just became the biggest Missouri fans around. I will be at the MU/Oklahoma game and can't wait to see the upset :-)

Looks like I'm pretty much out of the top 3 spots. Since we have 14, I think a 6-3-2 payout structure will be good where people finishing 9-14 send cigars to #1, 6-8 send to #2, and 4 and 5 send to #3.

Good to know UBC. The bad news is our season is over, the good is another thumping of UCLA to end it. The loss to Notre Dame was unfortunate though. Do you pay attention to USC basketball? I was shocked they knocked off Texas on Sunday.

I enjoyed this league a lot. I had a rough patch mid-season (bought into Alabama and Iowa way too much) but rebounded nicely thanks to Nevada's rise and Michigan's inability to cover anything! LOL! Lets lace em up and do it again next year gents. Compared to the NFL....College Football is King (minus the BCS nonsense).

Overall, it's been a pretty disappointing season. My Longhorns had a losing season (I'll call it the khomeinist jinx) and USC landed on probation. And to rub it in, despite Cam Newton's fiasco doesn't seem to affect Auburn too much, yet Reggie Bush's actions landed us on probation?? Go Ducks.

If there were a playoff, I don't think anyone would want to play Wisconsin.

At least we got rid of Greg Davis out of all this. I'm looking forward to the Applewhite/Harsin offense as it should be pretty dynamic. Also looking forward to Malcolm Brown. Finally a running game for UT??
