Hey Gang,

I picked up a box of these yesterday after seeing some positive reviews about these little guys on the youtube channel. I'm hoping to find a more consistent cigar than a monte #4. I'll let you know how they go.

Cheers

Opened the box. The construction is very good across all 25. They are a uniform color as well. Not as dark as the monte but more of a golden hue to them.

The initial aroma of the box was one of earthy grass meets honey. Very sweet smelling. Looking forward to sampling one of these!

Cheers,

Hi Red,

Will you light one up now, or do they need to rest for a while? I am looking forward to hearing your review.

Thank you,

Curtiss

Hi Curtiss,

These should be good to go. I ordered them locally in Canada as I didn't see any on the Czar site at this time, so they came overnight delivery. I've got a bottle of Mount *** Extra Old I'll be have a few sniffs from this evening with one of these Dip 4's

Cheers,

I was lucky enough to have Bster shout me one of these a couple of weeks ago. Great cigar that i really enjoyed. A really good afternoon cigar on a beautiful Brisbane winters day.

Ok,

I've smoked several of these now over vacation and I feel I can give a half decent description. I smoked these with a lady friend, although she's still confused as to why I keep calling her smithy and asking about the draw...

Anyhoo, the aroma on the nose always seems to be a sweet grass and honey. The 1st and 2nd thirds, I would put just below medium, and seem to be much the same in flavor. Very 'light' flavors of sweet grass.. honey.. slowly blooming into 'tea' ( I'm from Canada, makes me think of orange pekoe steeped all day on the stove) and lightly toasted tobacco.

Approaching the last third, the cigar picks up and moves well into medium. I was picking up buttery peanut flavors consistently on every cigar I smoked out of this box. Also just a bit of light spice thrown in. I really liked the last third of this cigar the most. I like that creamy buttery flavor. Very thick on the palette.

These are very consistent cigars. Lots of smoke which I love, I never found myself fighting for a draw.

I'm still learning to pull flavors and describe them the best I can according to 'my' palette. Hopefully this helps.

Yeah,

The Diplo No. 4's are great little cigars. I just replied to a posting regarding Rafael Gonzales Marquez Coronas Extra. (<-say THAT 10 times really fast) Another great cigar like the Dip 4's, and the Por Larranaga Petit Coronas that Habanos S.A. has kicked to the wayside. I saw the news about the Diplo 4's going away and I immediately ordered another couple of boxes for the future. Do the same if you can get hold of a box or 2, you won't be disappointed.

Great review Red.

As Bster stated, these great cigars are really hard to come by and I recently ordered a box of these also. Awaiting their arrival.

Thanks for posting, look forward to another review in future. B)
