partagasd4 Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 I picked up a few of these during the Czar's piramide sale. I have tried a few different Cuabas in the past that were decent but not great. Let's see how the Piramide compares: Stats: Length: 156 Format: Piramide Ring: 52 Weight: 14.26 Grams Construction: Very good. Nice chocolate brown wrapper, nearly flawless. Packed foot Draw: Firm Aroma: Earthy Pre Light Draw: Fruity tea and tobacco First Third: Peppery coffee, creamy. Instant flavour. Transformed into a bold, black coffee Second Third: Coffee flavours have transitioned into a dark chocolate. Toasted tobacco starts to dominate. Notes of black English tea. Last Third: Coffee and chili pepper. Notes of milky tea. Finish: Smokey barley tea. Conclusion: The best cigar in the Cuaba line that I have tried (I have not yet tried the Salamones). I would rate this an 87. Tons of flavour and will only get better with some age. This cigar had some problems with an uneven burn, probably because I was sloppy when lighting. Aside from that it is a very well made cigar and I would definitely recommend it.
MIKA27 Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Nice review Partagas. I love the Piramides, one of my faves of late although I tend to enjoy these before I have a stronger cigar as these can be somewhat mild.
cigcars Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 I've had the Cuaba Pyramides - on a par along with the best of the best. Excellent, warm, toasty havana aroma and flavor. A wonderful habana smoke
Guest rob Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Thanks for the review. I have had 3 of them so far - and all of them, I have to say have underwhelmed me quite a bit. They looked a whole better than they tasted.
