Nice job. Glad you guys dealt with the size and pricing extensively. Ridiculous. Unfortunate for me because I love Trinidad cigars, generally speaking. The Ingenios and Short Robo T have been off the mark though. A pyramid or DC would have been much more interesting and ultimately deserving of high pricing. Anyway. Cheers guys.

I think you guys have nailed it. Price point is pivotal. Probably why I don't have Trinis or Cohibas in my humi. Although I definitely would have them if the price was "right". They just don't command high dollars when other cigars are as good or better. Depending on your taste of course.

Sometimes the small format works - e.g. PSD5 was an absolute flavour bomb and powerful as hell. Shame that the trini smoke didn't add up and was priced unrealistically.

I'd love to smoke a trini churchill or corona gorda, but wish that these sizes could just be introduced rather than commanding the LE premiums.

Great Review Guys

I picked up a couple of these whilst in Melbourne ,agree totally on flavor profile, for what it is worth a very enjoyable Cigar.

But down to the nitty gritty, just like the thread from last week ,HSA are just getting it totally wrong on price point, for a lot of their cigars.IMO.

No wonder they have warehouses full of stock they cannot sell ,whilst not being an astute business man like Rob,i think if they lowered their prices a tad they would have greater turnover ,but having said that i completely understand Cuba's money woes, but surely a compromise can be reached ,you cannot continue to target the RICH and alienate your CORE customers.

I would and i am positive that i am not the only one that would buy more if the price was more normal smoker friendly, and in turn would, by common sense produce more turnover and would net more revenue.

Just my 2c worth.

Cheers OZ

I hate to pay anything for a cigar butt. $40 US for one? NFW

Where do you get it costs $400 for a box of 10's ?

I thought it was $235,still too much for me.

I don't want to say that is a great review, it seems more depressing and disappointing. Never saw interest in that LE and will def. not pick one up now, but just watching that video made me depressed. I need a PSD4.

Yeah, for the price it just seems a waste, I think you hit it on the head the whole review Smithy, just disappointing.

Thanks for a very honest and detailed review. This is exactly the reason why I purchase from Czar I rely on and trust your opinions of cigars I'm interested in, and know your not just trying to dump some overstock.

Thanks again

While on holiday,I thouight "I'll try an EL from 2010".

So while in the nearest Casa DH,I had a look at the three, and instantly discounted the Trini due to its price.

The size is ok,as I also enjoy the Hoyo petit robusto, just the price is wrong.

Went for the Partagas EL,which was a fantastic cigar, with alot of flavour.

I hear you. Price/size is embarrasing. At least Mag 48 arrive in 25 ct boxes. Clear conceptual flop.

Agree wholeheartedly. They missed it with this one.

I haven't watched this review yet - I want to check out everything in it's chronological order with these videos. You guys now have just over 100 of them, and I'm on about number 20 or so. I still have a week's worth of watching to go. Lord almighty, it's a ***** to catch up to two or three years worth of Forum business that was missed.

(Note - Colt, apparently Smithy doesn't like you very much. Dude, what'd you do?!!)

But, I'm presuming from others' posts that these were so-so for the pricing.

Surprise, surprise. Habanos SA is overselling something.

Hey, I personally liked the Ingenios LE (I have a box of them, and have smoked three so far). While they're not steller, they'll be interesting in time. However, the Trini Robusto T's are beautiful. I liken them very much to the Cohiba Robustos, but a bit lighter and with more honey notes to it.

Now, does my fanboy stiffy for these make me want to go out and buy these Short LE's? Nope, not at the listed price point, whether I've watched the review or not.

I'll stay with the normal Robusto T's. I've got those at a great deal.

Sent my best mate to buy some singles of Trini Robusto T's which I've never had before and he came back with these suckers

I found the limited edition trini short robusto T to be a pleasant smoke and it started off quite promisingly with good clean tobacco flavours perhaps reminiscent of a trini coloniales. However past the halfway mark it showed youthful bitterness, uneven burn and really did not impress.

Why do people pay a premium to get a shorter smoke than the regular robusto T's? Even if the LE's have had extra ageing I still don't get it.

Smoked a Trinidad PC I got in a split yesterday - My first experience with the brand. Liked the blend - Until I saw the price point! NFW is right. Too many other reasonably-priced good smokes out there. Thanks for the review fellas.

Just had one of these and enjoyed it quite a bit. For a small cigar it had nice flavor. Would be happy to smoke more, especially during a break at the office or while having a chat over a coffee break. Price, well, now sure what they cost, but as a smoke it was thoroughly enjoyable.
