El Presidente Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 I have a great mate Stephen Harrison who through work work will be based in london for a few months. Steve is a Czar deck regular, loves his cigars, reprobate, polo player extraordinaire, hotelier, entrepreneur, piss pot, man of the world. He also has the hottest partner this side of Miss Universe (Hi Nat ) Steve dropped me a line this morning from London. He would love to get the lowdown on the current London cigar scene. Cigar clubs (overt and covert) guys who would love to catch up etc etc. If any of our London FOH'ers can lend a hand...it would be much appreciated!

mazolaman Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 Apparently, the place to go(if you have the money) is Boisdales. Boisdales is a scottish restaraunt where you can enjoy a post perandial cigar in their cigar lounge(which is within the awfull smoking laws of Britain),enjoying a fine Scotch, with a Tartan rug on your knee for cosiness.Ahhhhh.
bunburyist Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 Boisdales is indeed awesome - not outrageously steep though. I can think of more eye-watering places.... Most of the big hotels have terraces you can use. If he doesn't want anything flash, the shisha bars on Edgware Road (near Marble Arch) will have spaces outside to enjoy a mint tea and a smoke. With current smoking laws though, a bench in Hyde park might be his best bet...

mb55317 Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 I would recommend 10 Manchester Street Hotel for sure. You can purchase cigars there or you can bring your own with no minimal spend. Hunters and Frankau hold regular cigar tastings there. I've been many times and its always a great evening. Here is the web site http://www.tenmanchesterstreethotel.com/hu...garterrace.html

Another thumbs up on Boisdales of Belgravia, the one on Eccleston. Had a tour of the rooftop prior to government approval and construction courtesy of the proprietor and have been back on a couple of occasions to enjoy the finished product. The humidor on the way in can produce some finds if you have the patience to peruse!
