Trevor2118 Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 I have had a single report that for the last month, my CubanCigarWebsite.com has been unavailable in the Netherlands. The writer is actually in Oirsbeek, Limburg. Can any Dutch FOH members advise if they have problems? Many thanks.
Custom56 Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 In Belgium everything is looking fine. I'll throw a quick post on the dutch cigar forums to see what kind of data we can get from them. Jan

Custom56 Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Ok first 12 responses that I had were all positive. They could all reach your website without any problems. I got a mail from a friend of Joep (the one with the problem) informing me also that it is an isolated case. But I still find it very strange that only your specific website is being blocked. Maybe something to do with his ISP, firewall, internet security package, ... I'm by no means an IT-guy, maybe on of the IT-wonders on this site can further elaborate on the possible causes? Hope it helps... Jan
Trevor2118 Posted June 24, 2010 Author Posted June 24, 2010 Thanks Jan, Yes this helps. I certainly appears to be a one-off problem, so there is nothing I can do at this end. Some time back, the website did get blocked in China, but it turned out to be a general Chinese policy to block all websites that use a common server (no idea why!). I shifted the website to a dedicated server and the website became immediately available. Makes little sence.......oh well, its only money. Trevor.
