dcse Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 We have some recent/upcoming releases of cigar jars. Should the jars be stored in humidors or are the jars sufficient as humidors in their own right as long as they are sealed? Jars seem to require a lot of space...
thechenman Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Jars act as their own humidor, you don't need to store them in a humidor unless you plan on not charging the humidification device in them, or putting in a tube of beads.
FireDigger Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 The way I store the cigars is that I take them out of the jar, put them in a ziploc bag and store them in my frigeador. Leave the jar out, as you said, they take up too much space. You might also consider wrapping the cigars in foil paper and/or vacuum seal the cigars instead of using a ziploc.
kjellfrick Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 I just keep the jars, with cigars inside, in their boxes in the 60-65 % cabinet.
Mr. Japan Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 I just keep the jars at rrom temperature and cigars are perfect..... up to now! They go through all the seasons and temperatures . I would say a range of 15 to 35 C°.
