I didn't intend to post a review of this cigar, but I couldn't find a single review anywhere on FOH, so I decided I had to do it some justice.

Comes wrapped in a piece of cedar. Upon removing the cedar wrapper, I discovered a lot of white patches on the cigar. I thought it was mould, but I was able to brush it off easily, so I suspect it was just bloom. This example was from a box from 07, a single purchased at my local.

I've been getting into RyJ lately. Absolutely adore the Belicoso, and am quite impartial to the Cedro No.2.

Being rather drunk (read: "completely wasted"), I can't recall the scent of the cigar before lighting it. In fact I think I lit it while holding a ERDM in the same hand, inadvertently burning the ERDM half way along the stick.

The Cedro No.1 absolutely blew my mind with the vast array of different flavours. From memory there was a lot of cream and some nutty flavours, but the dominant scent/flavour was a strawberry/floral one. Something I always detect in RyJ - reminding me of a strawberries and cream cookie.

The cigar intensified and developed. I remember something like a toasted flavour about half way down, as well as a "classic Cuban tobacco" aroma. Body went from medium to medium-full after the half way mark.

And I should mention the construction - perfection. Very firm, very well packed, lots of tobacco, draw offered just enough resistance, and plenty of smoke.

I'd give the cigar a 96/100, as it was really a beacon of perfection.

The night before, I'd smoked a SLR Churchill (which I consider to be one of the benchmarks of Cuban flavour and a pillar of consistency), but the Cedro No.1 really took it a step further.

I'm just sorry that I can't remember the nuances of the entire smoke, as I really wanted to do it some justice here. Next time I'll try to post a more concise review.

1,2 and 3`s are a staple of mine, I was working in Egypt for a while a couple years ago and always managed to pick up `05 boxes on the way through and stocked up on them!! Find a few plugged ones in there often though.
