CigarmanTim
The House at Riverton. Kate Morton's 1st book. Ironically she is from Brisbane. This woman can write. Takes place in England around the time of WWI. Not to give any of the story away but she weaves a mystery around the inhabitants of a Lords castle...The main character is a house servant and then a Ladies Servant. Sounds boring enough but by page twenty you realize she can spin a yarn. Many twists and turns...some deadly and a great ending... One of the better books of the year.. 4 out of 5 Cohibas Great read but once it was over it ....let's just say I wasn't dwelling upon it for days like my next read I will review. A very good debut novel.
