I noticed some packaging difference between 2 boxes of Siglo IIs. Wording on the outside, sticker placement, parchment paper, etc. all different. Attached are photos of these two boxes and also a box of Siglo IIIs and Robustos.

From left to right: Siglo II PLM MAY06, Siglo II EUP OCT08, Siglo III EMA FEB08, CORO GOP MAR08.

All have smoked very well so I find it hard to believe any would be fake, BUT I have the palate of a billy goat, so you never know. Anyone else observe these packaging differences?

There's nothing worse than originating a post and receiving no replies (actually there are quite a few things that are worse).

Any opinions? Thanks.

Sorry...I have no insight to offer up on the topic...wish I could help.

It's Cuba man...QC not the best in the world. Variance in boxes (color & print) from different years or factories is normal I assume. (mine r as well) The ribbon on the robustos does not have any writing on it like the siglo line. Great observation on your part of the many differences. I think as long you r buying from a trusted source you have no worries.

Smokem, I did actually have a good look at my various boxes of Siglos when the post went up - my overall feeling was that all seemed to be ok - my boxes have differing parchment slips etc - in the end I decided I didn't have enough definitive expertise to offer a useful opinion!.....
