Tally Ho and Top of the Morning Chaps!
Please excuse my brashness in posting without approaching the appropriate bodies of siege. One can only assume in the good nature of my rambling such a thread could be allowed in a place of gentlemanly pass time worship.
Some splendid lads came up with a positively splendid idea of holding a motorized cycle rally to raise awareness and support for victims and research of prostate cancer and have dubbed it the Gentleman's Ride.
The idea being if you have a suitable bike and wish to participate you put on a bit of old world charm, Something smart looking and ride on Sunday the 28th to raise awareness and donations.
Which is why I'm posting here. Very late notice as I didn't find out how soon it was or that nobody else in Mildura had grabbed the mantle until a little late, Awful news but not to bother!
Naturally I was chewing at the bit to help my fellow man and my charming and very debonair Grandfather only 3 days before I found out about the ride had just been diagnosed with prostate cancer.. So the time was right.
I'm hosting this years event under the local historic clubs normal monthly ride and next year hope to run an independent ride more suited to the Gentleman's Ride rather than the clubs more straight forward rides.
I'll be wearing my Grandfathers bright orange Arai open face from the 70's and riding my SR250 from the 80's. My Grandad is 88 at the moment. The Bike I'm riding is my first bike and one I lovingly pulled to bits and did a ground up restoration on spanning 18 months. It was a bike my father initially bought for me which I sold and purchased back 3 times. It now has a personalized paint job and our initials on the tank so for me its going to be quite a personal and male family day.

All other information on the ride can be found here too!
