  1. I do a lot of buying on eBay, anything from tools, squash racquet strings, collectibles cigar cutters and lighters.... You get the drill 99% of my purchases are "buy it now" but a few items I've been interested in lately seem to be auction only. Was bidding on a ST Dupont Ligne 1 lighter from the 50's, gorgeous looking thing, but every single bid I placed was beaten within a second until it finally went over what I was prepared to pay for it. I assume one of the other bidders was using a sniper app so I am thinking of getting one, are there any I should be aware of? I need it to be: Mac or iPad compatible Not too expensive Very customisable Also, it crossed my mind that sellers themselves might use things like these sniper apps to drive the prices of their auctioned items up... Does this happen? Thanks for any input folks! As usual it's much appreciated. Stevie
