  1. That begs the question, what is the bad kind of mold?
  2. Dang! Well, that is a disappointment. But I'm taking your advice and smoking one now. Thanks guys. Bob
  3. I opened a nearly empty box of Monte #2's that had 4 remaining cigars in it. To my wonder all 4 cigars had this fluffy white stuff on them only on the heads above the band. It brushes off fairly easily and I'm leaning towards it being plume, but I'd like another opinion. What do you think? Thanks for your help. Bob
  4. Yesterday I received an HQ 10 box of PSD4 that I purchased recently from a LFTH. They've been in a 68% tubidor for about 8 hours, but I just had to smoke one. I've had a couple of boxes of these in the past year and I was looking forward to enjoying one of my favorite cigars. I picked a random one out of the box and clipped it with my newish Palio. I noticed that the band slide easily off of the cigar. The draw was perfect, slightly easy just as I like it. The preflight flavor was just as I expected. The cigar lit easily and I preceded to enjoy it, so I thought. I very quickly realized something was amiss. As you can see from the photos, the wrapper didn't want to burn. I tried to touch up the burn several times with my lighter, but the wrapper didn't want to light. The flavor was nothing that I expected. Of course, that makes sense because I was tasting filler and charred wrapper. My best guess is that the wrapper was too moist and needs some time in the humidor to dry out. So I'm going to leave the other 9 cigars alone for awhile before I try them again. Is there some other explanation for what I experienced tonight? I realize that an HQ classification from the Czar is no guarantee of a great cigar, but I was caught completely off guard. I hope some time in the humidor will fix any issues I had. Bob
  5. I did that. It's not there. It appears that it was deleted.
  6. I purchased some boxes from the LFTH on August 30, 2012 and I was curious what other cigars were offered that day and what their prices were. However, I cannot find the thread. I assume it has been deleted, but is there somewhere else I can find it? Thanks, Bob
  7. Lisa, You have a beautiful boy. Glad to hear he survived the baptism Bob

I would have to assume it would be much easier for the former to shed the large fat deposits and bmi relatively to the latter. http://www.scientifi...tness/diet.html This would at least allow for standardization of the contestants based on weight, height, and other measurements." Unfortunately, no formula will appear fair to all types of body habitus. A weight-loss competition to win a box of cigars is not "fair" (nor healthy) for someone who is already underweight. In creating this competition, Rob had to decide what activity he wanted to encourage, and he chose weight loss. This activity is not suited for everyone. But, it is great motivation for us fatties to pursue more healthy lifestyles. Just a reading of the posts in this topic have shown me Rob has already been effective. Rob, I applaud you for your care and concern of your clientele. Thank you. Bob
  10. My plan (if I can keep it up) -eat out less -no french fries (okay, may have them twice a month, but small size, not large) -less ETOH (alcohol) with my cigars - that's about the only time I drink -less snacking between meals Worked before, let's see it work again. Oh wait, I'm currently heavier now than when I did that diet before. I guess keeping it off will be a challenge too. Bob
  11. I love the JL2. Just wish I had more of them. Although, I am starting to stock up on them. They were my favorite CC until last night after the Giants win, I smoked a Cohiba Siglo IV. It was marvelous! Even better than the JL2. To bad they are nearly twice as expensive. Bob
  12. Has anyone used a Shuriken Cutter which cuts slits in the head? I just picked one up fairly cheap at CI. What can I expect? Any secrets to getting it to work well? Bob
