    Siglo II, Epicure no. 2, some of my older aged (2017-2020) stuff such as PL Montecarlos and RyJ Nos 1 and 2. Always a good time to spin the wheel and see where the chips land.

    As it's been quite a frigid winter I have yet to enjoy a cigar since my New Year smoke. I have quite a few options I'm interested in (unfortunately none with too much age) That I have been letting rest and would like the community to weigh in on which FOH box to crack open. If applicable the pairing for this will be espresso or bourbon depending on the time I decide. Cheers!

    If you need any help with configurations I was a community manager for my university discord, admin for a 2500+ server, and am a dev who have made some lightweight discord apps (not my main job but side projects). Always willing to donate some time to a good group of friends.

    It is one of my favorites and probably the 3rd or 4th marcas I've ever tried (PL, RyJ, and H. Upmann are my first 3). I too have tried to pick up boxes whenever I see them floating around because who knows how much longer we will see these unique cigars. Very interesting to hear the history behind it and well done.

    My wife firmly believes the Harry Potter movies are Christmas movies due to their portrayal of them celebrating Christmas and having snow. If that is the bar she uses then Die Hard also is a Christmas movie!

    I got into cigars within the last 2 years and Cubans last year so my poll was probably an outlier. If I could do it all again I would’ve bought Cubans when prices weren’t insane but alas you can’t choose when you find a hobby.

    NC: Liga Privada No.9 are just at that 15-dollar mark and one of my all-time favorites. Many from the My Father line fall into this category too and are fantastic smokes. CC: San Cristobal El Principe, H. Upmann Coronas Major, and PLPC(at this point they are now in this range)

    I tried to bet on KC demise but alas it resulted in me losing 6 places. Perhaps next week will net me my prized KC loss.

    I'm not sure what they are trending at in 2024 but Fonseca Cosaco is one of my favorite Cuban profiles. I only have 7 left from a box of 25 and have been trying to restrain myself from finishing the box. I always look around to see if I can find another box, but alas no.

    Wasn't President Grant's death one of the reasons cigars were seen as so bad for you? He had throat cancer and many believed it was due to his cigars.

    Very cool I've always seen transcripts of the first story he told but never seen an actual recording. I know Petit Upmanns were the ones he enjoyed but I think they have long been discontinued. If I remember they were also machine-made.

    I feel like it’s fitting having an H. Upmann PC (majestic) as it was Kennedy’s favorite cigar. I’m not sure what other presidents have smoked so if anyone has other cigars presidents have smoked I’d be happy to hear.

    Exactly, I think inside - keeping it smoke free is nice in terms of kids/general living but outside it’s fair game to have one and clean up so it doesn’t smell.

    I'm pretty new to the whole CC's and know tight draws are pretty common (had a Bolivar PC plug recently that I had to fix) but is sticking it in the fridge supposed to loosen up the draw?

    As much as I’d love to see an end to this archaic “status quo” Cold War era relationship the Cuban vote in Florida is too powerful for any thawing of relationships. A power vacuum will almost assuredly end in someone with military power taking control. I don’t see either candidate making it a priority in their campaign and given one candidate reversing the previous thaw I see the embargo here to stay probably for my lifetime.

    I find I smoke pretty fast compared to the other people so a PC (like a PL) can take me 40-50 min. An Epicure No.2. is closer to 70 min for me.

    I am biased because I did my honeymoon in the Virgin Islands but Cruzan Single Barrel Dark 5 Year is an excellent choice. Cruzan makes its rum similarly to Cuba, giving it a clean flavor. In terms of cigars that go with them, I find something like a Bolivar PC or Fonseca Cosacos goes great. I would say I use my PL and Epicure No.2s (lighter cigars) for my coffee/morning smokes and the darker ones for when I'm having a spirit.

    I have the exact same model. I think though I have a replacement 3rd party band (Tudor wanted to charge me 2 grand for a real one 😐).
