FOH'ers Daily Smoke

LAT Feb 18 Draw was a little too tight for me. Smokeable but not ideal. Experienced the same with the last one I smoked. Has the nice tasty RyJ cherry edge though. -

Perfect...this is what I'm proceeding with. Thanks for the advice and pointers gentlemen, much appreciated.

Thank you both for the advice, will proceed with this information in mind in the future. For the time being, I have left it open to air out the container as well as my cigars. I felt when I opened the boxes of cigars I had inside the container to smell yesterday, the aroma when opening was very muted and seemed to have the plastic smell ingrained in it. Perhaps I'm over thinking it but is this something that would go away with time? Or perhaps with the addition of a cedar liner to help bring back the sweet aroma?

Tried using a tupperdor for the first time. Foolishly did not think much of the plastic smell, after two weeks I opened to check on them to find the aroma in my cigars. How bad did I screw myself? Any way to rectify this? Any help/advice greatly appreciated! Thanks

The ladies working did not give me the impression they knew or cared of the age. Asked for upmann mag50 and they just come out with a box. Unless she cared to check while she was in the humi. Doubt it though. This man's a genius! Finally, somebody making sense. -

It was the LCDH at 38 Avenida playa. The furthest one from the resort side. Prices seemed to be a few dollars above the listed prices. But I looked passed that since this was the only LCDH in Varadero with any stock at all. The other two had Cohiba and Trindad only. Was still fairly limited but every box I asked for that they had, when they brought it from out back it was a 2018/2016 box. I assume this isn't a normal thing lol. Got another one today. I have to either refrain myself or remortgage my house. Decisions, decisions... -

Nice PL galanes this afternoon. Not sure how old it is, bought a single from the shop. Smoking great regardless! RyJ Cedros de Luxe LCDH. Construction on point. Nice way to end the evening. -

Couple nice finds in Varadero today! The EE's they said were their last box. I was very surprised to see the date! Also surprised to see the code on the E2's. I'm new - but both bought at an LCDH so assuming they're legit, unless someone thinks otherwise. -
What's your latest NC purchase?

Nudie samplers arrived. Ninfas, Queen Coronas, and Cananazo. Construction is so good, absolute quality. Excited to give nudies my first try! -
Noobie question - after watching PigFish's video on % moisture content, howcome % moisture content is not the standard way people measure how they want to store/smoke their cigars? Until I joined this forum - given that I'm relatively new in general, I never even realized temp played such a roll. I always just assumed RH was the only particularly relevant thing. Is it not the standard to measure % moisture simply because it's not feasible to have such information? And people who are into cigars just know they're both important so they inherently monitor both?

Nova Scotia here! Thanks all for the welcoming in

The more I browse through this forum and hear stories from friends and colleagues, the more I become weary of my upcoming trip. I've heard there's some food shortages as well as the countless other issues I've heard about through the in-depth information the members here have. I think I am most likely not going to cancel it as the price point is very low, which I've come to realize why that is now. Only 1200 CAD per person for a 7 day all inclusive trip, so it's impossible to beat in that sense for me. Also, it will be my first trip to the island as a cigar enthusiast. So I am looking forward to it despite the horror stories I continue to hear lol. In the end it seems the cigars will hopefully be in good supply and I gather quality hasn't become an issue. So as long as I can get some cigars to smoke on their beautiful beaches and relax it won't be all that bad!

Hello all - Looking for some wisdom and insight on a humidor upgrade for myself. I'm a novice collector/smoker looking to expand my collection during an upcoming trip to Varadero. Living in Canada I find it hard to keep temp/humidity consistent as I run a dehumidifier in my house during summer. Currently have a desktop humidor, so I have been leaning toward a Raching C150A for adding stock to. After browsing some threads in here I feel this is a good fit for my intent. I gather a lot of this comes to personal preference, regardless any insight/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hello all! Started smoking CC's a few years ago now, developed some base knowledge about storage, humidors, etc. Recently have found myself getting deeper into the hobby and stumbled across this forum. After a sort time lurking it seemed obvious to me that I should sign-up. I didn't have to browse through too many threads to realize this a place full friendly, respectful and knowledgeable folks. I look forward to learning more, further developing my hobby and hopefully contributing something back!
