  1. Thnx nKostyan.. yes. the seal is a different size.. the habanos band is a different size as well. yet the cigars look very similar to one from a 98 release bought at a swiss dealer and the quality of the box is the same.

  3. here are some more detailed pics
  4. Good morning community. I joined this community to find more professional help and exchange on one special box that I inherited. I'm a bit experienced in smoking aged Cubans now but before just ripping up these beauties I was hoping for some historical advice or maybe some likewise stories. As we all know Trinidad were started (again) in 1969 as diplomaticos. Then in 1994 appeared to the public at a charity dinner (wiki says 1995) but weren't released for sale before 1998. Now here is my box with a code from March 95..? Not made in El laguito but in FR..? Is this simply a fake? Or what can be the explanation.. John started at the trinidad story post.. But told me to look around for more help. Thank you
  5. John this was a great story to follow and here I am hoping to find some more answers as google brought me to actually sign up and get more into this. I have inherited a few boxes of cigars from an older fellow who quit smoking.. Mostly bought around 2003... All easy to find information and enjoy. my favorite so far are the Allones 898 and the Series A But I happen to have a box of Trinidad now as well.. looking like the usual aged Cubans.. the 24 Box and the old original Band A... BUT the boxing code is from March 1995 made in FR. Do you have any idea how this can happen?.. everything is appreciated to learn more about this history. Thnx
  6. I have been smooking cigars for the last 30 years starting when I turned 18... I remember the Dunhill Aged - I started with their Lonsdales... and then mostly got into cubans.. I was never a collector but just a smoker enjoy a cigar after Dinner or at a bar at those times.. I travel a lot and always try to look for good places to smoke and lately about a year ago I started to inherit some older Cubans - and that what brings me to this forum to find some help in looking what I got.. Thnx for accepting me. cheerz
