Campanas

Campanas (3/5)

  1. I think his initial CA interview he was smoking a VR Unicos and mentioned that opened Opus X and Cohiba Siglo VI being his favourites. He then went on to say that any Cuban cigar is a good cigar. Recently he was part of the ad for the AF Cigar Club/ Lounge and he's been seen with Angels Share, Hemingways and King/ Queen B's as well as multiple different marcas of Cubans.
  2. Perhaps a tin or jar from the BR/ Fabrica 5 lineup one day? I know you love a tin, I lust after jars. I can just see it "Don Ayala - Year of the Monkey" special edition tin releasing 1 April 2028.
  3. I know you've had a bit of a request for remaining mostly Cuban but I enjoy your forays into NC. Especially as I'm still hunting for a box of Opus DC which has been harder for me to come across than a box of Cohiba Lancero (never seen them in the wild or been able to buy one, whereas was able to get the Cohibas relatively easy). Would happily listen if CC coverage dropped off.
  4. Doing some further unpacking, decluttering around the apartment this morning. A wine tasting at the local wine store after lunch, and some mates coming around for dinner tonight (whipping up a beef stroganoff and apple crumble for after) which will no doubt involve more wine and cigars. Tomorrow going to the Sharks v Storm in Melbourne where I will have to put up with our dear small state syndromed friends cheering in the wrong places, booing great passages of play, and reminding me of how great QLD is in Origin, ye gods.
  5. Some select Davidoff retailers get a few series of the Davidoff line that have half an inch or so exposed for this reason so you can see what the wrapper is doing.
  6. We really know how to throw a game away. I'm just hoping that after this they may win in Melbourne this week...
  7. Topaque is an Australian fortified wine, formerly known as Tokay, now renamed to avoid confusion with Hungarian Tokaji wines. Ours is fortified with grape spirit like a white port etc, the Hungarians Tokay (or Tokaji) is a sweet wine using the furmint grape that has contracted the noble rot, with no added spirit there. I confess I had to go do some research as I'd originally planned on a sauternes or ice riesling when the idea was kicked around initially but then when I saw fortified it was to the google to see what qualified.
  8. I've not had the 8-9-8 but I managed to snatch a box of Especial just before the crisis. It was a little off the first couple of years but since about the 3 year mark it's been climbing and now in the 5-6 year mark they are truly magnificent. Not a huge fan of the marca in general but these give Monte a great name.
  9. Got the day off tomorrow so will try drop in!
  10. Fantastic stuff! Great work there! Or as someone would say, "You can just tell by the attention to detail, the long lineage of quality, craftsman and tradition, that is underlying in this cheese..."
