  1. There are just some complete "bass ackward" people in that state! https://local12.com/news/nation-world/kentucky-man-cowboy-cody-accused-unleashing-raccoon-in-bar-crime-criminal-activity-cincinnati-trespassing-resisting-arrest-failure-maintain-required-insurance-calloway-county-jail-animal-bites-dangerous-behavior-wow
  2. https://highwiredistilling.com/ I've had their wheated bourbon and a 6.5 year old rye bourbon (barrel pick for Seelbach's). Both were excellent. Here's quick video that is pretty cool as well: Last link I promise! This is to a bourbon patreon group that selected a barrel pick earlier this year that was just released the other week. I passed on it due to incurring some medical bills but the selection sounds incredible:
  3. You also have a very nice little distillery two hours south of you in Charleston that is really starting to put out some nice whiskey as well...
  4. I seem to recall Eric Clapton saying Prince was one of the greatest guitarists he's ever heard. I need to check YT to see if that was in an interview.
  5. I've always liked this song and noticed the end of the song guitar but evidently there's a heck of a lot more to the solo:
  6. Have one of those nasty summer colds brewing so not sure I'll be smoking. I'll still be watching some of the Indy 500, Coca-Cola 600 and final weekend of EPL while doing my best to honor those who gave everything for me to be able to sit on my sofa and complain about sports of all kinds.
  7. Outside of cigars, I understand it's still a nice place to visit. Great skiing in the Winter and good hiking in the summer. I believe there's supposed to be a really nice spa there as well (presumably to help folks like me recover from my skiing and hiking). I've wanted to visit Andorra as part of a larger trip exploring that region along with the east coast of Spain. Fly in to Barcelona, take the bus up to Andorra for a 2-3 days. Then travel back down towards Gibraltar over the course of 10 more days. Probably a pipe dream.
  8. Didn't see this seen referenced in the James Bond post above. From the movie "Goldfinger" when Bond and his boss are meeting with Bank of England representative. Hard for my eyes to see the box but it seems like a Hoyo De Monterrey cabinet. Bond declines one but the other two enjoy.
  9. Coffee or water with a Juan Lopez no. 2, SLR Regios or El Rey Choix Supreme. 2 ounces of Russell's Reserve SIB with a Bolivar Belicosos, Monte no.2 or Diplomaticos no.2 (evenings).
  10. On the Waterfront Bullitt Patton (personal nostalgic reasons-watching with my dad) The Godfather Thunderball Goldfinger Dr. No
  11. A bit late with the response and my bracket went to crap on day one; however, always worth it to remember:
  12. Nothing earth-shattering but still a fun segment from 60 minutes on barrels:

  13. Lord, does Buffalo Trace/ Sazerac also own Fuente? They certainly appear to share the same marketing firm. "Light your ultra rare Fuente Opus X with a wood stave from our 50 year old bourbon whose barrel staves were shaped and aged for additional 10 months on the thighs of virgins to ensure a smooth and pure viscosity. Indulge your profoundly defined sense of smell and taste with our ultimate pairing of overhyped whiskey and tobacco which will surely drive the other taters at your local overpriced whiskey lounge into fits of jealousy. Preorder yours now after leveraging the equity in your house. If you have to ask how much, you can't afford us."
  14. I've really enjoyed the R&J line personally - some of the best cigars I've smoked are smaller ring gauge Romeo y Juliet cigars but agree that HdM is divisive. I'd also throw Cuaba in that mix. I love the figurado shape but get nothing but peanuts from the entire line (similar to what my palate picks up with most Jim Beam bourbon offerings outside of Old Grand Dad). Peanuts for days.
