  1. Great work fellas. Laughed my socks off watching the three reviews. Best non-verbal action award goes to Rob for the disgusted look he gave when tossing the "master..." away not even a third of the way through. Best Cigar was the Junior that Ken had, for making life so hard and going out all the time. Classic. It was as if the gods were watching. Well done all of you for putting yourselves through that. I will try and post some Henri Wintermans through so you can do a back to back comparative review... My money is on the Henri wintermans....

  3. » » Truly, Buy Bigger than you ever thought you might need in a thousand » » lifetimes, then buy bigger!!!!!!!!!!:-D » » PLEASE listen to Tampa.......it happens sooner than you think !! Advice noted and taken. I thought about it and 100 would just get filled up too quickly. Am now looking into the 250-500 ct range. on another note, do folk tend to use the polymer crystal humidifiers (puck etc) or the oasis? Lastly, I have found this week that my little humidor, which uses polymer crystals, has been getting a little too humid (75-76%) and was wandering if anyone had any advice on rectifying this? Many thanks, john
  4. Hi all. many thanks for the replies. Nice to find a welcoming forum and I'm sure I'll learn alot about the art of turning paper notes/electronic numbers into tobacco leaves and back to ash again... Can't wait for the weather in the uk to cheer up as i smoke outdoors and the cigars are likely to turn to 100% RH as soon as i light them as it just won't stop raining!... Thanks Mel for the welcome and i have already placed a tentative order with Lisa and Rob. Trying a few different things as well as stocking up on Siglo I's. You're dead right- that 30 pcs Humidor is looking under-gunned already. Any suggestions on a decent 100 Pcs Humidor?
  5. Hello all. my name is john, and i live in bristol, uk. I have had a mixed history of smoking cigars- in my younger days i used to treat them as something that needed to stay as red as possible for as long as possible- needless to say i was sick/green alot and didn't really "get it". i had the birth of my first child a few weeks ago and was given a pair of tubed Cohiba siglo VI by my best friend. Even looking at them turned me green... so i decided to start "practicing" on smaller vitolas just so that i could do the siglos justice. So having bought a humidor to store them in i bought a mixed selection from a uk vendor (Punch p punch, bolivar p.corona, uppmann junior, hoyo epi 2, uppman conn 1, por laranaga p.corona to name but a few) and have been making my way through them to great enjoyement. I have had the advice of "slow down, pace yourself" and this has opened up a new world. I had a siglo I last week and it tasted like eating coffee beans/dark chocolate/cream- intense, lingering flavours. Needless to say i'm hooked and am going to try as many different tastes as possible. Here's to a great journey through smoke... john
