  1. Mine landed today. Looking forward to smoking these with you all and sharing thoughts.
  2. They seem to be right on track for me.
  3. and I just got an email that you replied. Seems all is working well again. Thanks @refresh and the whole FoH team for sorting this out.
  4. That's great news! So if I was just a little more patient I would have been far less annoying ... copy that.
  5. Well at least I know I didn't break something now. And that's the first step to troubleshooting!
  6. So I have the Watering Hole section of the forum followed and I used to get an email update every time a new thread was posted. Specifically helpful with the 24:24 thread as it reminded me to look and buy. Lately I haven't gotten any emails from the forum at all. Just wanted to see if this was just me. Cheers.
  7. Congrats Joey and thanks to El Prez for the contest. It was fun to get back into writing reviews and smoking something I otherwise wouldn't have. I think I'll be trying to do more reviews in the future.
  8. Thanks to El Prez for putting this contest up and giving all of us a great reason to grab something out of the humi we normally wouldn’t. I’ll start this off with an embarrassing truth … I have never smoked a Cohiba before. I’ve always been curious about them but have steered clear due to the high price point and my fear of really liking them. I know that sounds strange but I like my mid range CC and NC and usually don’t go for the hype and price of the “top tier” stuff. This was gifted to me from a very generous brother on another forum. Construction: Wrapper has a nice sheen to it and is fairly smooth. The cigar itself is a bit spongy at the foot and into the first third (not over humidified but almost feel under filled). Beverage: Water Lighter: Soft Flame Cutter: Straight cut Prelight: Grass, honey, pepper. The draw feels very open. Which may prove to be a good thing. First Third: Starts with more spice than I had figured. nice balance of sweet and spicy. Caramel and red pepper. Spice quickly mellows and it mostly sweet hay, almost a honey sweet with a little vanilla. The spice comes and goes but the sweet remains constant. Caramel or almost creme brule. Second Third: The vanilla really comes to the front to start. Some cedar starts to mix with the spice. The sweet has turned to a really nice honey. Stays pretty constant throughout this section. Some faint mint is in the background. Last Third: Spice returns. It’s a red pepper this time. Fades in and out. The honey is still there and the sweet hay has made a return. First touch up about half way though. Pepper comes to the front with honey and vanilla in the background. Final Thoughts: All in all a solid smoke. The sweet and pepper playing off each other and trading prominence throughout was pleasant and entertaining. Robustos are the largest ring gauge I smoke and I think that this marca would shine in a smaller format. Londsdale or Lancero will be where I go next for Cohiba. That being said the price point on these seems a bit high as I enjoy many others (Bolivar and Partagas in particular) more than these as off now. Perhaps age does wonders for these but I’m far more likely to grab two boxes of another marca and lay one down for a long nap while “testing” another. Total Smoking Time: 1 hour 22 min
  9. Now I really want one with the Bat Symbol sticker!
  10. I must say I've been looking forward to having one of these on my smoking table for a while now. Looks nice!
  11. I don't really smoke anything above a 52RG. I do find myself reaching for the smaller RG lately though. Lonsdale and Corona are really my go to size but I also find myself reaching for Churchills if I have the time (watching a movie etc). I am just beginning to discover the magic of the Lancero as well.
  12. I run my cabinet at 63%/18°C. It gives me a bit of a variance as the top will be 63% (where the "brain" is located) and the bottom usually reads 67% (where the humidifiers are located) which is all tolerable to me. I'm very happy with he way both me cc and nc are smoking so I call it a win.
  13. Figured I may as well jump in on this thread. I was rocking a couple Wineadors and a cooler or two when I finally decided to fulfill a dream and got this guy. Love it! Now all my stash is in one place and sleeping comfortably
  14. Found this little guy all lonely in the singles drawer. Figured now was a good time and it sure was! Happy New Year everyone! 2009 OpusX Love Affair and a custom OpusX lighter made by a friend of mine. One of my new years resolutions is to post more and lurk less so hopefully that will be happening in 2016...
  15. I travel all over the world. I work for a bunch of different bands. Two at the moment are Kid Rock and The Strokes. It's a fun way to make a living and I get to shop for and smoke cigars all over!
  16. Thanks for the welcome folks!
  17. Hello from just down the road in RI
  18. Hello for dow the road in RI
  19. Hey All, Some of you may know me from other forums. I've been lurking here for a while and was drawn in by the FoH ashtray thread. Posted my interest and realized I had never done an intro thread so here goes ... I'm a lighting designer/programmer/and operator (dirty roadie) for rock bands. I love cigars and pipes alike and really like trying new smokes. My go to smokes are all over the map. Thanks for having me over here! It's a really cool place to learn. Cheers, Justin stin187
  20. That looks really cool! I'm a sucker for forum related items and need a new ashtray. Seems like this is a win win.
